Thinking of how I use to play Matrix Games

You make 4 games of 3 minute blinds, 1000 starting chips, all start exact same time, get 9 players,Now you have a
Matrix Game, The only difference is the 300 chips to 1000 starting chips as PS wont do 300

WALA you have a matrix game, and it would not take long to finish a game, you could make more than 1 set of games in a night

I think a matrix survivor might be fun for a 2 or 3 day event

Matrix split the money into 5 prize pools:  1 for each of the 4 games (standard payout structure paying top 3 on 9men and top0 2 on 6man games) and the fifth pool was for "the matrix", which was a scoring system based on all 4 games.  You got a point for each player you outlasted at each table, and two points for KOs.  The matrix pool would be broke up for the top scorers in the same structure as the game payouts (i.e top 3 paid in 9man, toip 2 in 6, with the same payouts per place).

That seems simple enough. How would we do this for a monthly competition? Play 1 of these 4x4 Matrix games on the 4 Thursdays (for example) of the month, and tally up the points?

That would work.  True, we might be able to spice it up as well, but without any really standout ideas this is fine as is.

Okay. Have changed the title of the thread. Shall we make it $1 to enter, and the fourum will double the pool? We should probably make a new home group, or change the Survivor group, to only allow people in the comp to play. And we'll do away with late reg so that we're not split over 2 tables for for the first couple of levels.

I am a thinking to play like 2 rounds on Sun-Mon-Tues-Wed just for that week, this would make 8 games total with 4 tables each

make it like 8pm and 9 pm then run a regular survivor also at 10, Feb is a short month to

just my opinion

def a new group (or new "season" within survivor group) will automate tracking of everyones finishes and KOs

that would be great too, if it's possible  (went to make a sample tourney looking for that option, but didn't see it ?)

and btw: @ fletch..... you can count this as my OFFICIAL PROCLAMATION TO PARTICIPATE in this next thingy

I kinda think a short month is in order too.  The last two contests have been pretty game-intensive... I think a few games that didn't have other implications would be good for those of us battling out all these contests.  I think either 8 games in 2 weeks or 9 games in three weeks would be plenty.

I would really love/appreciate it if you could somehow make the contest picture a mock of Matrix movies.

I seen a knockout tourney, i dont know if it counts the knockouts but i would think if it had points and you took off
1st/2nd/3rd points what points left for that player would show how many knock outs

better yet, just forget the knockouts and do 1 point for outlasting each person, then give 4 points 1st, 3 for 2nd, 2 for 3rd and 1 for 4th

Matrix competition sounds great! I played quite a few of those on FTP. Loads of fun!

We need to have 4 different Matrix Home Games. Then we can play 4 at one time in 1 night.
