Each team needs to pick one of their members to sit out each of the 3 games: The Bananarama on the 1st of Jan, Elektra on the 1st of Jan & TT - the New Nuts on the 2nd of Jan. Sitting Out only means that any individual points earned do not count towards the team score and they are still welcome to play, and in fact are encouraged to do so. Feel free to talk amongst yourselves via email or PM or post publicly in this thread to decide. For example I think twospd said he was unavailable for Mondays game, so he should obviously be your sit out for TT. Each player can only sit out 1 game per week.

I'll be making this thread prettier with the running totals, etc a bit later on, but it was obviously important for everyone to know what teams they were on for week 1 and to start working on the sit outs.

Rules can be found in the OP at http://www.sixandfourum.com/fourum-poker-games-and-freerolls/team-thingy-two-januarys-competition/

Oh my, we have to make a decision?   It's hard enough to get two ppl to agree on anything, never mind a car full.  Grin

Seriously though, I messed up when I said I could not play on Mon the 2nd.   I will be available.   My meeting is on the 5th.

The correct dates that I will be unavailable are the 23rd and 30th. Both being Mon. nite TT games.   Even this will hinge on whether or not I can attend classes for free.

I consider myself the weakest player on this weeks team.

My 2cents and it is just my 2cents, is that we continue with the alphabetical order and have JB as a team captain, thereby putting the decision on him as to who plays what games.

That being said, I am completely open to whatever is decided.

Cool that you're available, sir.

If you don't come to a consensus, then we just take the votes received as what counts. If only one person from a team votes for the sit outs, then what he says will be the way it is.

I'm definitely going to be unavailable for the games on the 9th (first day of the semester) and will probably also be unavailable on the 8th as well. So my team should probably vote me as the sit-out for that week.

A random number draw decided the first teams should be split alphabetically. As such they are:

Team 1
aj10101
Fletch_smf
GabeKaplan
gjecat

Team 2
JBaker
ribbybruno
spike420
twospd

Each team needs to pick one of their members to sit out each of the 3 games: The Bananarama on the 1st of Jan, Elektra on the 1st of Jan & TT - the New Nuts on the 2nd of Jan. I'll be working on being the first person to take down the Double Double Jackpot this Sunday, so I'll definitely be here for them. Also the TT this week.

You can only sit out 1 game a week, sir. By which I mean only 1 game doesn't count your points. You can obviously be missing from all of them in a week, but someone else needs to be the official sit out for the other 2 games.

Six had his name down, but is going to be unavailable for the majority of January so withdrew. Did not hear from anyone else despite the many reminders, and we are closed for business now.

Happy to hear it. Team will be redrawn by then, so why don't we concentrate on this first weeks games.

Hey, are players not in the January competition still allowed to play the forum tourneys?
