Yes sir. It is possible for non Team Thingy Two players to take all three places and deny any of us earning points.

Hey team 1. AJ tells me he's working till 11pm on the 1st, so he should definitely sit out one of those games. I'm definitely fine for the TT, so I can sit out the other Sunday game if you like. cat, Gabe, either of you like to sit out on Monday?

If your a sit out you can still play in that game, it just dont count towards the thingy points

This. The points still count towards individual points, but they don't count towards the team points.

I wonder if it is beyond the scope of the rules to make a game time decision?   What if the one of the players that is supposed to be playing does not show?   I will make every effort to be at the table when it opens.

Let's go with JB sitting out Bananarama since he is not registered at this point but the rest of us are. I will sit out Elektra. If you and spike can figure out about TT on Monday who wants to sit that should do it.

I was a sit out in Bananarama so I earned points there that didn't count towards the team.

You tell me Spike.   I figure on playing.   As far as the comp. you tell me which one of us will be playing for team #2.

As Fletch said , everyone can play but not everyone will be playing for team pts.   Imo it is beneficial to the team when everyone does play.   Maybe some are thinking further down the road and already know weeks 4 and 5 teams.   Dunno


My understanding of the rules are that although the teams change weekly you carry the previous weeks team pts with you into the next week.   So even if you are not playing for team points in one particular game you should still be playing that game.   Everyone can come up with their own reasons for this.   I could mention a few but I've already been down that road.

Okay, edited the OP with the results now that the first week of games is done. The sit out games are in red, and the rest of it is pretty self explanatory.

The teams will be redrawn for week two according to the Individual points with Team Six being numbers 1, 4, 5 & 8 and Team Four being 2, 3, 6 & 7. Any players that have the same Points will be listed in alphabetical order.

Each team needs to pick one of their members to sit out each of the 3 games: The Bananarama on the 1st of Jan, Elektra on the 1st of Jan & TT - the New Nuts on the 2nd of Jan. Sitting Out only means that any individual points earned do not count towards the team score and they are still welcome to play, and in fact are encouraged to do so. Feel free to talk amongst yourselves via email or PM or post publicly in this thread to decide. For example I think twospd said he was unavailable for Mondays game, so he should obviously be your sit out for TT. Each player can only sit out 1 game per week.

I'll be making this thread prettier with the running totals, etc a bit later on, but it was obviously important for everyone to know what teams they were on for week 1 and to start working on the sit outs.
