A variation on NLHE, the rules as created by cubbies760 are:
Updated and Official Rules:
----you must fold any hand that contains a J, Q, K, or Ace.
----You must SHOW all winning hands (Turn Off Auto-Muck)
(please try to remember, but there won't be a penalty)
----a limp (or call) needs to be at least a minimum raise, to give the BB the opportunity to fold his hand if it contains an outlawed card.
----The J, Q, K, A on the board will play just as normal, and the best 5 card hand still wins.
----If you accidentally play a hand that isn't allowed, you must announce your mistake in the chat log, so a bet can be put out there to allow you to then fold.
----Preflop, if everyone folds to the BB, the BB will win, regardless of if he holds an outlawed card.
----If you win a pot when holding an outlawed card, you forfeit your seat in the tourney, and must be blinded out.
----If you accidentally limp (forgetting to min. raise), you MUST fold.
I was thinking today how interesting a NLHE game would be if nobody played facecards or aces. I think there would be a completely different strategy required in this situation. Essentially, T9 would be similiar to Big Slick.
Once Heads-Up, play as you wish as long as both players agree, otherwise, continue with the TenTen format.
