On June 25,2008, Connodea posted a topic called The Clan Battle on Rakereport.net. He wanted to see if any one was interested in this. Rakereport Forum needed to do this by-starting a clan, gathering players, developing a name for the clan and competing against other clans in poker tournaments. It was fun to watch the making of the player's list and trying to figure out the format of the Clan Battle tournament. The name of the clan was an exciting process. Rakereport Forum thought of all kinds of names- Team Rickshaw, High Rollers and some we can't mentionOn June 28, 2008, 5:35 PM- 1scratchy posted "silly one......... Mucking Monkeys and we could all use the same chimp avatar during the clan tournament. Rakereport Forum seemed to like the name and sixandfour made a angry monkey banner mucking KK(in honor of Calvin Zorr).
The Mucking Monkeys then registered at Cardsclan.com, to be able to play in the battle. We played the Boss Hoggs. Sixandfour impressed us with his stats of these players. Chato15 and WlkrTxsRngr both Mucking Monkeys came in 1st and 2nd, respectively, in our 1st clan battle. The Mucking Monkeys went on to beat the River Rats and earned TCC #2 Championship with Chato15 as MVP.
On August 28,2008, the Mucking Monkeys registered on Railbirds as a clan.
www.railbirds.com/rails/MuckingMonkeysOn September 3rd, 2008, the Mucking Monkeys held their 1st tournament on FTP. Kocs won the tournament and 1scratchy placed 2nd.
The Mucking Monkeys resided at RakeReport.net from Sept 2008 to August 2009. We have a lot of great memories here!
August 2009,AJ Martino the administrator at PokerNations had been kind enough to invite us to reside at his forum(as AJ once did at RakeReport) . The Mucking Monkeys are happy to be a part of such a wonderful community. Swing Flip Land!
This past year in 2010 the Mucking Monkeys took down the Battle Of The Clans(BOTC #26) in fine fashion with Jeff Kocot(Kocs) single handily beating the field!
Present day July 2010, the Mucking Monkeys reside @ PokerNations.com, Railbirds.com and now Sixandforum.com. Wow! Unreal how all this has grown into such a great group of folks!
