Hi Guys,

Sad about Prodigy. Just thought I would post this for what it's worth. I have been playing @ Carbon since May 2011, along with a few others ( drkato ) is one of us. No major issues so far, but we all know that could change. I just wised the Damn US Gov't would get on to some kind of legislation. They IMHO are leaving a lot of $$$$$ on the Table by dragging their feet. End of Rant........

I wish all the best..............

I also play on Merge Network.   I chose the RPM skin.   I recently told someone I joined there 4-18-11 but it was actually on 4-28-11 that I deposited.

I have never withdrawn but understand it is like a 2 month wait.(2+2 thread)

I find the software pretty good except for one problem that support tells me is on my end.

When I started there I was only playing up to .25/.50 LHE.   The rake, in combination with the lack of LHE players, made it less than desirable.

I then began my journey Grin into NL by starting at 10nl.   I currently still play 10nl but more and more find myself playing 50nl.

I first sat down last nite with two tbls of 10nl and just was not doing well, all of which was my fault.   I went on up to 50nl and after 2.5 hrs of total play (2.5hrs Tot time logged in) left up $30.87.  (+ whatever RB I will get)   And I sux a poker.

The two 10nl tbls I were at only had one player at them that I had any info on.   Whether it's EL closing or it was just a fluke I don't know.  Without looking, I am confident I have >10k hands of 10nl on the Merge Network.

I do have RB there, however I believe RB is no longer available.   Some sort of VIP system is what they now use.

I say all this just to give my 2cent on the other options ppl have.

I think I understand what you are saying.   I know of no one that is an affiliate at Merge/RPM.   This ^^^ was a email directly from RPM as far as I know.  Why, as a existing player, I would receive it I do not know.  It was in mail this morning.

When I signed up it was through RakeTheRake in order to get RB which I think is at 27%...or was that the % at FT with RakeBackPros?   I can't honestly can't remember without looking what % RB I get at RPM.

Anyways, RB is no longer offered.   It's that VIP system now.  Earn pts and cash them in for cash or use them for tourny entries.  It was my thinking that if no RB is offered anywhere that using this to earn 10% back on a deposit might be a good offer.

I also was trying to tempt Spike a little bit... Grin

EDIT : I get 35% RB at RPM through RTR.   I am looking at RTR webpage now and there is a Refer A Friend program.  They also still show RPM as a site that they offer RB at.   This really confuses me because I did not believe from all I have read that they offered any RB anymore.

I suppose I should do this through PM but if you were interested in playing Gabe we might be able to do something so we both could make a little extra.  As I have said RPM is where I play but Carbon is also on this network.  After BF there was plenty of debate on which of these two skins offered the best perks. I chose RPM.  It would be possible for me to ship a small sum to you to let you try it out if you wanted.   I have not played any tourny there.  No hard feelings mods if this gets deleted.

A Novel in the making.

For the record, I can pretty much guarantee there will be no Merge affiliation here, so don't wait on our account.  We have no intentions of signing people up to another site that will end up kicking out US players.  Merge has already gone through phases where US signups have been disallowed at times, and it's likely only a matter of time before they get bullied out of the market entirely.

Merge is the network.   RPM poker is the skin.(rpmpoker.com)   RakeTheRake (RTR) is the affiliate I used when I signed up/deposited at RPM.

RTR is where I read about the "Refer A Friend" program.  They also offer a affiliation through them but it seemed complicated for me atleast.  The Refer A Friend thingy seemed pretty straight forward.  It basically wanted me to send a email, to whoever my friends were, with a link they would click to take them to the RPM site in order for them to download the client.  Atleast that is how I read it.   I did not know how serious you might be so I had not asked you for your email.

As you said, you should take a look at both "RPM" and "Rake The Rake" and see what you think.

As I said, I did not believe rake back was being offered anymore on the Merge network.  However when reading Rake The Rake earlier I read it that yes rake back was still a option by signing up through them.  After having read that I now really do not know if rake back is available or not.  It confused me.

Like Six said right after BF (4-15-11) Merge was open for US but a couple months later they closed for a few months to new US sign ups.  When they began accepting US again it was at this point that I thought rake back was done away with and they went to a VIP system.

The timeline for this is well documented on 2+2.  I may try to dig back and find a link to it.

Edit : I'm tired. This is as close as I can get.  I never did find the day they closed to U.S.  Was wanting to see how long they were actually closed to new U.S. signups.

I believe that leaves us with the Winning Poker Network (Yatahay). Received top marks for deposits/withdrawals (A-) from pokeraffiliatesolutions.com. If I get my withdrawal from Prodigy I'm gonna give it a try.

I wish they come knocking at my door, I would tell them exactly where they can stick it, what are they going to do, toss me in jail at $100 a day of tax payer money for me playing $20 worth of online poker, also then they can take care of all my major medical I need, boy that would be the best $20 I ever spent

So where is everyone playing?
I'm on RPM same scree name (almost) as always. Wink
JD is there too but with a strange alias.
So is dc but they both are usually hidden.
How about doc?
I'm not funded to play much but been playing 4 & 10nl till I get below 70 then going back to $2 SNGs.
Cant get use to the SNG blind system its like playing a turbo always. and the 180s & 18s never fill so its just
one table SNGs. The 180s and 18s have the best blind system IMO. Cant stand the dbl or nuthing and the superturbos. So I haven't been playing much at all.
Sure miss FTPs 45s.
