SB villain (the one we're concerned about) is 71/25 through 28 hands. He has an AF of 8 and just bets anything. Literally. He will triple barrel a squirrel and chicken noodle soup if that's what he has. But face aggression, and he usually gives up the hand. So what's our move here OTF, w a very medium kicker but a straight blocker? Should we let him hang himself? Should we, at some point, try to get the stacks in (before the river)?

Everleaf - €0.02 NL - Holdem - 3 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

Hero (BTN): €2.34
SB: €1.73
BB: €0.32

SB posts SB €0.01, BB posts BB €0.02

Pre Flop: (€0.03) Hero has  A 8

Hero raises to €0.06, SB calls €0.05, BB calls €0.04

Flop: (€0.18, 3 players)  6 9 A
SB bets €0.06, fold, Hero not folding but contemplating a plan Huh?Huh???

In these situations I'm just calling the flop and making a move on the turn. Raising here either gets him to fold worse or get it in with better or a draw, and he could even be ahead with a flush/straight draw combo anyway.

I posted, then I took it down.

I said the title probably should/could read...vs aggro Italian

What fletch just said is how I was leaning, but as I also said, it seems when I just call the donk bet here most of the time the next move I see is they shove the turn.

Then what?

As I said, I have started playing soooo tight there...3-4% vpip...very boring,but...When I hit the flop hard I get paid off good...when I miss I just fold and move on...and I can't/would not say that TP weak kicker hit hard...

Is this good strategy?...Prob. not.
I have no game other than this at these stakes though...Really who is going to fold their flush draw(practically any draw)...for _? insert #...@ these stakes?...not many of them

If you take a hard look around the site most of what is running is 4max and 6max...these players swing through the full ring tbls and play them the same as short handed...very agg...ATC...must bet big and often to win attitude...etc...

So again ,I have taken the stance of being squeaky tight vs these players..."hit or git"...most are action junkies and belive I am also... That I am just reraising/shoving trying to be agg.
Let them think that...I don't get in a pissing contest with them, with anything other than a VERY strong hand...Let them think their agg is the way to play...then HAMMER them when you have the hammer...sit back and wait for the hammer again

If they do that as a bluff as indicated in the OP, then you call with your pair of aces. If the turn comes a red high or low card, meaning that doesn't hit any of their straight/flush draws then you're trying to get it in, so raising any bet they make, and according to OP we're expecting them to fire at the turn 100% of the time with his entire range. We beat most of that range, so calling 3 streets is fine if no draws complete.

Range?
This players range is ATC !!
Do you really want to get it all in with top pair weak kicker?

Any two cards is entirely the point.  There are way more hands that you beat than beat you, and if he's betting all of them then you just let him bluff his chips away. Sure some of the time you will be beat, but most of the time you win.

But if you raise, then it shifts the make up of his hands to hands that are better.
