After taking the suggestions from those that replied in the other thread, we have come up with the following proposal. Please vote within the next 48 hours, indicating whether you like this change or not. If you don't like it, please post saying what changes you would prefer.

We are also looking for a better name for "The Lounge". Suggestions can also be posted ITT.

I just want to thank people for turning out.  This is easily the best response we've had on a vote for some time.  This has always been intended as everyone's forum; and now it actually feels like you guys are buying into that.  I know, it's probably a foregone conclusion that whether you all showed or not, the result would be the same; but it's a lot more rewarding for all of us knowing we were part of the process.

Anyhoo, Fletchy seems to have left the poll closing open, so by all means, feel free to vote if you haven't.

Looks like you've done quite a bit of streamlining. I like it!

Just a few minor suggestions:

1. Fourum Headquarters. Lose the 'The' at the beginning.
2. I'd have separate MTT and SNG sections, located within the Poker section
3. I'd put the Sports Betting & Other Gambling in the Lounge.

I wish there was enough traffic there to warrant that being split into two sections, but at the moment I don't think there is. Any other opinions on this?

I don't think the current traffic levels that we've been experiencing for topics related to these is enough for them to have their own areas. Maybe in the future.

I'm not a huge fan of doing that. I think of the lounge as an area where we can discuss anything BUT gambling and betting of any kind, sort of the relaxed zone. I think those two topics belong where we placed them on the new layout.

Well, seeing as we've passed the suggested time for the poll and have a rather, well, unanimous vote, I'd say we can call this passed.  I'll start redoing the boards this afternoon or tonight.  I apologize in advance for all the dead space under the boards that will be created; we will have to rework the side widgets and ads to match the new structure, and until then they will run much longer than the boards down the page.  We should have that tweaked in a day or so.

 As for the location of Sports Betting/Other Gambling, we can put that up for further consideration; It will be just as easy to move the board after we reorganize.  I'll get a thread and poll started on that after we get the reorg done.

Also note that I'll be starting a thread on naming the lounge.  I'd like everyone who has an opinion to post their 3 favorite suggestions, and after a couple days we'll put up a poll with all the nominees.

Thank you all again for your input on this;  I'm glad to see all the interest in improving our site.  And we'll be covering some other ideas that have been brought up as well, so stay tuned.

Not to smooch too much hiney, but this wasn't a case of just any old batch of noobs.  We suddenly got the attention of dozens of established forumers, many of which can claim 4 and even 5 digit post counts.  So needless to say, we feel blessed by the opportunity to have you guys and know full well your suggestions are based on experience and carry a lot of weight.
