October Meeting of sixandfourum.com Held November 8th, 2011 in Skype Public Chat.

In attendance:
Fletch_smf (Chair)
sixandfour
Patches

We made the executive decision that if only Mods turned up to a meeting, then the reports of the meeting would be held over as they are viewable in the Mod Fourum, and we would only Skype new business. The reports would then be copied in from the Mod Fourum.

Finances

Prodigy Report
Number of Affiliated Players

Rocky Cat signed up this month taking us to 22 members.

Player Activity
Some cool spikes in the No. of players on line, lining up with the regular Prodigy Games, as OTT was running. 6.87 was the monthly average, up slightly on the 6.66 of last month.

Rake Earnings
A big spike in rake earnings on the 25th when twospd and I got decent sessions in. Which reminds me, good news, we got moniez from Prodigy.

$12.21 was received on the 14th of October bringing our total to $15.04. We received the news that the initial set up was incorrect. The maximum available is 55% in rake back. When our players receive 40% we receive 15% instead of the 24% we believed. We're not sure how the $12.21 relates to the 15% of what we were expecting, but we received our funds from them automatically on the 3rd of November, so as long as this keeps happening we'll be happy.

Our players generated $47.54 in rake this month, or $1.53 per day. $19.01 was paid back to our players, and our share was $7.13 bringing our total to $22.17

Payments from last months comp have been paid, with Fletch_smf paying the additional cost. We will begin using Sixandfourum funds to pay out site prizes, and hopefully from this point on, we generate more than we spend.

I have a standing agreement with Ribbyruno that he can ship me any Bananarama bounties on PayPal and I can deposit them into the winners Prodigy account. This will go quite some ways to keeping funds in our members accounts, and therefore rake being generated for the fourum. We thank him for this. And the idea of Prodigy Bounties did give us the idea for our new fourum giveaway.

Double Double Jackpot
We added a bounty at the end of October that works in 3 parts. $2.50 Prodigy money goes to anyone that takes down the Sunday Double each week and the Prodigy Double each week. The Sunday Double in particularly will help people win a couple of Play chippy tournies and start a roll on Prodigy. The other exciting thing is that someone can give up the Double Bounty and go for the Double Double, which will allow them to win the Jackpot, which has started at $10. The jackpot increases by $1 each week that no-one wins, and we figure this will go on for some time till someone collects, so it should start to get up there before too long.

Each $2.50 bounty is taken from the Jackpot, but the Jackpot is always at least $10. We will see how we progress, but our plan is to generate $14 in rake each month, $10 for our giveaway, and $4 to cover the increasing jackpot. We need to generate $93.33 each month, or $3.11 per day to meet this goal. The admins are of course to cover any shortfall that is required, but we are hopeful that we will meet the target this month with our current competition requiring play at Prodigy Cash tables.

I know it's a monthly meeting, but I don't want to split the weeks worth of games, so I'll just look at the 4 weeks that we played all of them. That's why I'm posting this now instead of after the Prodigy Games have been played.

Our Team Competition in October saw us with record turn outs, primarily of the 9 people registered to play in that competition.

Regular MTTs
Elektra, NLHE – The Baker Brothel
We matched our record of 12 for the first game of the month and averaged 10.25 players per game, up 17% on the 8.5 average in September games.

TT – the New Nuts
We had a record of 11 players on the 23rd of October, and averaged 9.5 players per game for the month.

6&4 NLHE $1.10 Freezeout - Prodigy
A new record of 9 players at the start of the month, and an average of 7.75 per game, we increased turn out by 35% on the average 5 players for September.

6&4 O8 $1.10 Freezeout - Prodigy
We had a record 9 players every game of this month save for the 2nd week, and averaged 8.75 players per game, up over 40% on the 5 per game for September, and higher than our NLHE game on Tuesday.

Series/Competitions
October Team Thingy
This was very well received, and is certainly responsible for the increased numbers at all our regular tournies. We'll see how much the numbers drop off, particularly in our Real Money Tournies on Prodigy. We discovered two main glitches whilst running the games, the first being in the way we calculated the points in Rebuy tournies, and the second being the way the positions of team members were locked in during the final week. We will look at adjusting to compensate for these things the next time we run it.

This was a value added comp, requiring people to register and pay before the games began. While this was a good way of encouraging these participants to play the games every week, it meant that there was not a lot of drive to encourage new people to play. It was always good to see people outside the OTT play, and especially cash, because they became a wild card to mess with the scoring. The other downside to the comp was that you had to play pretty much all 20 tournies to help out your team mates. This can be pretty tiring, and was possible a reason that more people didn't sign up. The idea of only counting top 3 finishes in a week has been bought up, so as to not make the schedule to punishing.

The Double Double Jackpot
While we full expect the numbers to drop off again next month, particularly in the Real Money games, we have created a new giveaway on the site to encourage people to play. Anyone that wins both games of the Sunday Double or the Prodigy Double gets $2.50, which they can then risk to play for the whole Double Double Jackpot, by winning both sets of Doubles in a row. The Jackpot will increase by $1 every week (minus any $2.50 payments made). The idea came from a discussion amongst the admin about winning all the games in a week, and how there should be a prize if anyone ever did that. We then talked about offering a small prize for winning any of the doubles (which has been done) to encourage people to play, and six came up with the idea of giving people the choice of taking the small prize, or risking it to take it all for an increasing jackpot. The Double Double was born.

This has been just been implemented and we will have 5 weeks of games in November to see how this affects turn out. More on this in the Finance Report.

November
Novembers competition is another freeroll, open to all fourum members that have created a Prodigy account. It is all about encouraging cash game play (and therefore rake generation) by awarding prizes for biggest pot won, and having the biggest stack at the table.

Fourum Stats Report

The average for October 2011 was 931 page loads and 243 visits per day, down on the 1187 and 324 from last month, but way up on the 310 page loads and 64 daily visits in October 2010. While the fourum went into a lull after MASS last year, we are keeping the momentum going on a month to month basis.

We culled a bunch of accounts, so it dropped from 1050 to 907. There were 1255 posts last month/40 a day and 136 Topics created/4.3 per day. This brings us to our totals of 21 306 posts in 2362 Topics.
