i wondered why these threads are locked and why we have to pm a mod to get screenshots posted instead of just unlocking it so everybody can post directly (and then mods can still consolidate the top scores in the OP)?

also lots of games are not working for me. the field remains blank (white). for instant craps (i have never played that before and was really curious. lol) but also some of the pinball games and possibly some others.

Good question. I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time. I'll check with the mods to see if there's any good reason not to open those threads.

All the games are linked to the sites that host them. If they take them down we lose them. Will check and remove any dead links.

I'm pretty sure we had a good reason. What that reason was....I can't remember, but we had one!

Very few of these games should be down; usually once they're up, they stay there.  Is it possible you have some blocking software on (like for instance Adblock Plus on Firefox) or you have to click to allow Flash on IE?  Let me know what you're using if you can't figure it out and maybe we can.

As for the locks on the threads, it was simply so we didn't get buried with comments and high scores page after page.  But I'm okay with opening them up for a bit and see how it works out.  If it gets stupid congested with crap, we can always lock them again.

wow fletchy, you invested some time checking all the games.
I didn't guess it was related to my firefox as nitty tried them too and he is using chrome.

i have taken several screenshots from some pinball games that i will post at one point. so far my scores are very very laughable, but then it might also be motivating for other forumers to have some easy-to-beat-scores ;-) and to bash each other

No ma'am. It only took 5/10 minutes to open all the pages. My time was taken up by having to finish Splitter, lol. Quite the addictive puzzle game.

I've done some cleaning up now in the arcade.  I haven't quite finished, but the following games have been replaced with good links:

Let it Ride
Craps
Carribean Stud
Roulette
Jacks or Better Video Poker
Beer Tapper
PACMAN
Ultimate Formula Racing
3D Ping Pong
Joust
Q-Bert 2004

These games I found no replacement for and deleted:

Heads Up Hold 'Em
Law of the West (pinball)
Short Circuit Pinball
Power Pinball
Matrix Rampage
Gangster Life

And these games remain on my to-do list:

Bubble Shooter
Field Goal
Pong
Kung Fu
Burger Time
Street Fighter 2

I plan to get these done tonight or tomorrow.
