You dont want to "get the flush draw out" - you want him to call without equity, thats how we makes they money/chips at poker.

Will you bet 300 with air here?

Just wondering, what are we trying to get value from by betting here? I mean who is coming along? The only thing I see coming along is a jack, a flush draw, and an over pair, but I rule out an overpair, as It is very unlikely especially at this level that our limper is going to limp queens plus. So we are only getting value from a Jack or someone coming along on a missed flush draw.

Also, we have a limper (dandarouvar) who is probably going to try to take a stab at this pot whether he hit it or not.

You didn't supply any reads, but he open limped UTG+1 so thinking that he's not going to continue with anything better than a flush draw or top pair is probably wrong. He'll call if he paired the 7. He'll call with any PP (except 2's). There's lots of value to be had from a player this bad.

EDIT: and I'm not sure if will try to take a stab at it on the flop, because he didn't take a stab pre when the odds were better he'd win it unopposed.

I would be betting between 200-250 and praying one of them will be stupid enough to raise me.

I don't mind a bet here, but I thought about it for a second and decided to check. I figured a flush draw will ride along anyways whether I bet or not, so I opted for some pot control, plus, I think it looks too obvious that we connected if we bet out here and I think we get value from so many worse hands, including air, by checking.

Here is how the hand played out, I did manage to collect $1800 chips from someone who had bottom pair, who I don't think would have ever called a c-bet.

Flop: (t300) 7 J 3 (3 players)
davidsthubbins checks, Hero checks, dandarouvar bets t150, davidsthubbins folds, Hero calls t150

Turn: (t600) 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, dandarouvar bets t600, Hero calls t600

River: (t1800) Q (2 players)
Hero checks, dandarouvar checks

Final Pot: t1800
Hero shows J 3 (two pair, Jacks and Threes)
dandarouvar shows A 3 (a pair of Threes)
Hero wins t1800

As played on the flop & turn I'm betting 550 or something on the river like I'm bluffing with a pair of clubs. It's not likely he'll bet 3 times with worse when it's checked to him.

I check the river because, if I bet there and represent queen, I chase out worse hands, but if I check hopefully I get value from another street if he pairs a queen, and I get value from other worse hands.

Also QJ is in his limping range, so checking allows for pot control if he happened to catch two pair there.

I dont think you represent a Q by betting the river.... Maybe Im outta touch with tourney play. You represent a busted draw or something like a set you slow played.

I just think there are so many horrible turn and river cards to go with a c/c line. Are you calling a big bet on the river? What if it falls a club? Or one of the many other scare cards?
